A planet is a large object that orbits a star.

Objects that  orbit planets are called moons.

ystem.

Pluto used to be a planet.

In 2006,the International Union decided it was a dwarf  planet.

The name "planet" is from Greek,it means "things that move"

1- Rocky planets they are mostly rock: Mercury, Venus , Earth and Mars.

2-Gas giant, mostly,made of gas:Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

3-Icy: Pluto mostly made of ice.

                                 Polar bears

In summer they eat plants, in winter they eat artic hares, harp seals and artic foxes. They live for about 25 years.

                            Artic hares 

 They  can hop at 64km per hour. They eat mosses, lichens, leaves, seaweed, bark and roots.

                                 Harp seals

Baby harp seals have a white coat for 10 to 14 days. They live for about 30 years.

                                           Caribou
 The caribou eat plants. Their enemies are artic foxes, wolves and bears.

                                           Artic foxes

Artic foxes eat artic hares, caribou, birds and eggs. Their enemies are polar bears and man who huntsthem for their coats.

                            Snowy owl
They  eat mice, artic hares  and birds. They survive in temperatures of  -50ºC.

The streets of New York go from East to West, and the avenues go from North to South.

New York has got lots of skyscrapers.

The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom for Americans.

Taxis in New York are all yellow.

 There are hot dogs stands on every street in New York.

New York`s favorite sport is baseball.The city has got two teams:the Meets and the Yankees.

In New York the currency is the dollar.

In New York there is an enormous park:Central Park.It has got an ice-skating rink, a lake and a zoo.

At lunch time we can have a traditional dish like Quiche Lorraine, and for dessert we can have crepes.

We will go shopping to Paris Departments stores district.
